Hey, I’m Munzer! 👋
I design products and other cool stuff.
Introduction
I’m a Berlin-based Product Designer with over seven years of experience in crafting intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences. My journey into the world of design has been shaped by a commitment to solving real-world problems, especially for communities in need.
Over the years, I have combined my skills in UX/UI design with a passion for social impact, creating solutions that bridge gaps and foster integration.
Design, for me, is more than just aesthetics—it’s about creating meaningful experiences that make life easier for others. As someone who has navigated the challenges of adapting to a new country, I’m deeply passionate about using technology to empower individuals, particularly those from underrepresented communities
It’s been a journey...
My story began in Syria, where I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Tishreen University. My architectural studies honed my sense of aesthetics, spatial design, and problem-solving—skills that laid the foundation for my transition into product design. In 2015, I moved to Germany to seek new opportunities and challenges.
Bureaucrazy: Tech for Social Impact
One of my most impactful projects is Bureaucrazy, a non-profit startup I co-founded in 2015. The platform was designed to tackle the notoriously complex German bureaucracy faced by migrants and newcomers. With Bureaucrazy, we developed an app that translated essential forms into Arabic and English, guided users step-by-step through bureaucratic processes, and mapped the locations of critical offices like citizens’ bureaus and job centers.
The project received widespread recognition, including features in major media outlets like DW News, The Guardian, and The World. It highlighted the potential of technology to drive social change and inspired me to continue exploring how design can make life easier for underserved communities.
Volunteering at ReDI School of Digital Integration
Giving back to the community has always been important to me. That’s why I’ve been actively involved with the ReDI School of Digital Integration, a Berlin-based initiative offering tech education to newcomers and refugees. Initially, I joined as a student to expand my skills, but I soon became a volunteer instructor, teaching UX/UI courses to aspiring designers.
At ReDI, I worked on impactful projects for renowned organizations like Welt24 and Daimler. Beyond teaching, I mentored students, helping them navigate their first steps into the world of tech and design. This experience reinforced my belief in the power of education and mentorship to transform lives.
Professional Milestones
Currently, I’m a Senior UX/UI Designer at StackFuel, where I lead the design of innovative learning platforms that empower individuals and organizations to build essential data skills. From designing scalable platforms like the Data Literacy Toolbox to collaborating with high-profile clients such as the EU, Federal Ministry of Education and Research, I’ve developed solutions that merge functionality with exceptional user experience.
Previously, during my tenure at 3pc GmbH Neue Kommunikation, I refined my expertise in visual design, data visualization, and accessible user interfaces. These experiences have solidified my reputation as a versatile and empathetic designer.
